Excellent lunch
Had lunch with friends and an excellent lunch it was. The food was well presented, delicious and served by extremely friendly, helpful staff. My wife is Gluten Free and there was plenty of choice for her on the menu. The portion sizes were ample and very good value for money. An added bonus is that it is dog friendly. Would hghly recommend.
Great service and great value Carvery
Having recently criticised Curious for uncaring service, take a lesson from Chequers on the green. Turned up for Sunday lunch having booked for an outside table. Being a hot day and wanting an outside table in the shade, there was not one obviously available. However the greeter persevered and found us one. From then on, the service was perfect. Friendly, chatty but not overwhelming so, Food (Carvery) was great.

Amazing service from Alicia and the food was impeccable. Also had great knowledge on wine which is a major plus! Thank you for an amazing evening
